I am a Hertha Firnberg Research Fellow in English Literature at the University of Vienna and the Oxford Centre for Life-Writing at Wolfson College, University of Oxford.
We are thrilled to announce that our two-day international conference, “Art and Action: Literary Authorship, Politics, and Celebrity Culture“, due to take place at The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities, 20-21 March 2020, but cancelled due to the ongoing public health crisis, has been rescheduled as a series of webinars. Have a look at our exciting programme and join us!
A special issue on “Theatre and Persona“, guest-edited by Mary Luckhurst and me for Persona Studies, has just been published. Julia Lajta-Novak’s and my guest-edited special issue on “Life Writing and Celebrity“ for Life Writing has recently come out as an edited collection by Routledge. Our introductory piece on the connections between life-writing scholarship and celebrity studies can be accessed here.
My monograph, Oscar Wilde in Vienna, came out with Brill Rodopi in July 2018. In February 2019 I discussed the book with Mary Luckhurst, Stefano Evangelista, and Dominic Janes at The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities.
I am currently guest-editing a journal special issue on “Life-Writing and the Transnational“ for Comparative Critical Studies (with Clément Dessy, forthcoming in 2020).
